Ahmadiyas, also known as Qadiyani, are a small religious sect within broader Muslim community living in Bangladesh. Some overenthusiastic self-declared Muslim leaders, backed by some political groups close to the present government, has been claiming that Ahmadiyas have heretical beliefs and therefore the State of Bangladesh should declare them as non-Muslim. Many violent attacks and harassment were organized on the community in recent years. Shamima Binte Rahman investigates into the nature of violence on them in different parts of the country.
